Committed to Setting the Captives Free, in the Fear of the Lord! (Luke 4:18, Is 49:8,9, Is 11:2)
BECOMING GOOD STEWARDS OF WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED.
We are a three part being, spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
The spirit is the real you and when we are born, our spirit is dead to God.
When we Receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, our spirit is totally renewed by the Holy Spirit and we are born again (John 3:3). Our spirit becomes alive to God.
Our soul is our mind, will and emotions and remains the same as before our spirit was regenerated.
And our mind must be transformed and renewed (Romans 12:2).
The Holy Spirit is the one who brings all that God has for us (His treasure) from our spirit into our soul.
God's treasure is described in (1 corinthians 1:30 amp).
But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin].
To bring God's treasure into our soul we need to receive the word of God into our heart.
Then the Holy Spirit carries the treasure of God form our spirit, carried on the wings of the word, by faith into our soul.
Our soul is thus constantly being changed from image to image as the Holy Spirit brings revelation of Christ, the word of God.
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18 amp).
This is receiving God's treasure by the faith of Christ and is an ongoing process of salvation and continues until the Lord returns.
And as the seed of the word of God is sown in our heart (ground) it begins to grow (Mark 4:13-20).
As the seed grows in our heart, we experience trials, tribulation trouble and pressure from satan, the world and our own thinking, to dislodge the word and abort it's growth. This is described in (Mark 4:13-20).
If we endure through in the faith of Christ we reach Mark 4:20 Fruit is manifest in our lives, the fruit of the spirit, consisting of the attributes and character of God.
But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. (Galatians 5:22-23).
Now as believers, we are receiving the treasure of God, we need to be good stewards of the treasure we have received.
When Peter and John went up to the gate beautiful in (Acts 3:1). They encountered a beggar at the gate, who had been crippled all his life.
When the beggar saw Peter & John he asked them for a gift.
Peter said look at us, Silver and Gold have I none but what I have I give to you in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I say arise.
They were being good stewards of what they had, the treasure of God, applied in the Name of Jesus Christ.
In His Name is all that Christ is (1 Corinthians 1:30).
When Peter spoke the word, the crippled beggar rose up and walked, totally healed in Jesus Name.
Pressure will come, every minute of every day to try to take the word or get you to speak the contrary word.
What pressure have we all had, pressure comes from the world and its way of operating, it is pressure applied to steal the word (treasure) within us and replace it with satans corrupt word (Mark 4:15).
Satan brings the counterfeit corrupt word to replace the word in our transformed soul.
The counterfeit is the mountain of pressure (trouble, tribulation) we must be good stewards of the word, we must begin to recognise what the enemy is doing and counter with the word.
As the word, the Christ is revealed to us, we begin to value the word more than life itself, because the Holy Spirit takes us deeper and deeper each day.
We are becoming overcomers by the power of our testimony, the word.
WE ARE, IN I AM, through Christ by the Holy spirit.
The treasure of God, the Gospel of salvation is to be shared with all who will receive.
For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.
